Emotion History

August 2021 - Now

Emotion History is a travel, route and cultural experience agency, with theatricalized and immersive experiences. It was born from the need to convey emotions through history, to relive real historical moments from the lives of significant figures in the history of Spain. Erika Fichera, as Artistic Director, and Felipe Trigo, Historian, both directors of the company, seek to surprise and help preserve the historical memory and architectural heritage of the city of Barcelona.

“Our mission is to share our passion for history in a different and unique way, to relive and feel historical moments in hidden and secret places with charismatic and emblematic characters from our past. Our dream is for national and international audiences to enjoy a unique experience by rediscovering the most secret and curious side of Barcelona and other cities. We will visit unusual, private and difficult-to-access spaces, theatricalizing routes, trips, getaways and gastronomic experiences. Welcome to Emotion History: the best-kept enigmas of History are waiting for you!”

 Sustainable and Responsible Tourism

We wish to welcome responsible and civic-minded visitors, travelers and tourists. Therefore, we ask you to respect a series of guidelines in Barcelona and other destinations:

  • Manage waste correctly by using the specific waste bins and, if there are none available, take it home or to your hotel to dispose of it properly.
  • Guidelines for behavior in public spaces. If you are in a public space, dress appropriately, always wearing a shirt.
  • Protection of heritage. Do not pick flowers or plants. Do not take any archaeological, cultural or geological pieces.
  • In public spaces, do not raise your voice in order to avoid disturbing local residents, and do not consume alcohol in squares or streets.

For us, it is essential to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), with particular emphasis on the following:

8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth and 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production.

Among the most important actions for our cultural tourism agency, we highlight the following:

  • Obtaining the “Biosphere” and “Safe Travels” seals. We are currently receiving advice in order to obtain these certifications. We have received comprehensive training to make our agency more sustainable, socially responsible and safe in terms of health and sanitation.
  • Respecting all the guidelines set out in the “Code of Good Practices for Tourist Guides” published by Barcelona City Council and AGUICAT.
  • Decentralizing our routes and transportation throughout the districts of the city of Barcelona and the province in order to avoid overcrowding and negative impacts on the urban environment.
  • Using sustainable radio guide systems (DisVoize) to prevent noise pollution.
  • Promoting public transportation and, when this is not possible, low-emission or electric vehicles.
  • Avoiding the use of polluting materials at our events and gastronomic experiences, while promoting recycling.
  • All our routes are adapted for people with special needs.
  • Social responsibility, participating in solidarity tours for vulnerable groups or organizations such as La Marató.
  • Supporting young local artists and creative industry organizations.
  • Collaborating on our routes, experiences and trips with emblematic local businesses, cultural organizations, restaurants and historic hotels in order to support their continued existence.
  • Contributing to the preservation of private historical and artistic heritage that does not receive subsidies, such as unique historic houses and private collections.
  • Promoting environmental and social causes through our website and social media.
